Définir et obtenir les propriétés #
L'interface pyplot vous permet d'utiliser setp
et getp
de définir et d'obtenir respectivement les propriétés de l'objet, ainsi que de faire une introspection sur l'objet.
Réglage avec setp

Pour définir le style de ligne d'une ligne à tirets, vous utilisez setp
:
Si vous souhaitez connaître les types d'arguments valides, vous pouvez fournir le nom de la propriété que vous souhaitez définir sans valeur :
>>> plt.setp(line, 'linestyle')
linestyle: {'-', '--', '-.', ':', '', (offset, on-off-seq), ...}
Si vous voulez voir toutes les propriétés qui peuvent être définies, et leurs valeurs possibles, vous pouvez faire :
>>> plt.setp(line)
setp
fonctionne sur une seule instance ou sur une liste d'instances. Si vous êtes en mode requête et que vous examinez les valeurs possibles, seule la première instance de la séquence est utilisée. Lors de la définition des valeurs, toutes les instances seront définies. Par exemple, supposons que vous ayez une liste de deux lignes, ce qui suit rendra les deux lignes plus épaisses et rouges :

getp
renvoie la valeur d'un attribut donné. Vous pouvez l'utiliser pour interroger la valeur d'un seul attribut :
>>> plt.getp(line, 'linewidth')
0.5
soit tous les couples attribut/valeur :

Alias #
Pour réduire les frappes en mode interactif, un certain nombre de propriétés ont des alias courts, par exemple, 'lw' pour 'linewidth' et 'mec' pour 'markeredgecolor'. Lors de l'appel de set ou get en mode introspection, ces propriétés seront listées comme 'fullname' ou 'aliasname'.
